This year, the United States is celebrating a massive milestone for its 250th Birthday! Nobody is celebrating quite like Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN. We were so excited when Gaylord Opryland invited us to come see all the patriotic themed fun to be had at the iconic resort.
Gaylord Opryland Resort has transformed into a star-spangled paradise for the Summer. From patriotic light and fountain shows to fireworks over their Magnolia Lawn, see why we think a road trip to All-American SummerFest is the ultimate family friendly way to honor America's 250th!
To start, we found our room with a gorgeous overview of the Cascades Atrium. Lush gardens, people watching over the restaurants, and beautiful waterfalls gave us peaceful moments on our balcony.
After taking in the views, we were ready to grab a bite to eat. We were off to check out the brand new restaurant, Foundry Fieldhouse Sportsbar & Taphouse.
This unique and beautiful eatery is a large, multi-level venue with entertainment options like a large LED screen and over a dozen TVs throughout the space as well as indoor/outdoor spaces. Local art and sports memorabilia decorate the space giving it a modern, and artistic vibe. The menu offers chef driven options including allergy friendly like gluten-free & plant-based.

With full bellies we headed off to grab The Great American Road Trip Scavenger Hunt booklets to start the fun searching for the answers throughout the atrium. You get to explore iconic American landmarks along your road trip themed journey.

Also in the Delta Atrium, we stopped by the Summer Craft Zone for a fun paint by numbers activity and adorable patriotic Tic-Tac-Toe.

We headed back to our room to order from the convenient À la Carte menu and relaxed for a bit before heading back out to the Magnolia Lawn for America’s Birthday Party & Fireworks! During this event, they offer live entertainment, elevated activities, festive novelties, plus food & beverage options for a patriotic celebration for the whole family. The kids were in awe and loved ending the night with the beautiful music and firework show.

After a night of cozy sleep, we were ready for all things SoundWaves Water Attraction! SoundWaves offers four acres of year-round aquatic fun with thrilling slides, a mat racer, kids’ play areas, a wave pool, a lazy river, and private cabanas. Of course we worked up an appetite and love grabbing a bite to eat at Decibels, a restaurant right inside SoundWaves. It’s super convenient and offers a great menu of options including gluten-free and plant-based. The Mango Citrus Bowl is a must try!
After the day of SoundWaves fun, we were ready for nighttime exploring in the atrium. The atriums are so fun at night with beautiful twinkle lights and attractions like the Around We Glow Delta Riverboat Cruise. This joyful twist on the classic attraction is the Around We Glow, Silent Disco Delta Riverboat Ride, a fun indoor cruise with music, lights, and water coming together while you enjoy your own silent disco beat.

The Delta Riverboat Cruise is available year round.
While in the Delta Atrium, our crew watched the beautiful Sounds of America Light & Fountain Show. This nighttime spectacular features music, lights, & rhythms for a fun American themed show.

The Hydro Beats Light & Fountain Show is a specific timed, mesmerizing show that is a must see too! It featured dazzling water, music, & lights choreographed for a beautiful view! (Daily, 9:00 p.m.)
We had a full but fun day and were ready for another night of balcony views and rest.
Our last morning we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast with A la Carte and explored the atriums for garden and floral finds.
We stopped by Bravo Gelato for a final treat. They offer several gluten-free and dairy-free options including a fruit sorbet!
