Autumn is here and it was the perfect time to head on a fall family adventure to the charming city of Clarksville, TN.

We have visited before and love the city, but this time was different. We were excited to partner with Visit Clarksville for the perfect family weekend getaway that’s close by, budget-friendly, and packed with fun!

Right off I-24, this is the ultimate centrally located escape for the whole family—and of course you can bring your fur babies too! We were excited to bring Bella along for the fun and she loved seeing the sites too!

We stayed at the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Clarksville by the Cumberland River. It’s pet friendly and was so welcoming to our Bella. It was a perfectly located home away from home.

With scenic streets and incredibly vibrant entrepreneurial and artistic spirit, everywhere you look and go, there’s unique local character and beautiful spots to enjoy.

Some indoor locations that were so fun to visit rain or shine:

Miss Lucille’s Marketplace & Cafe

Customs House Museum & Cultural Center

The City Forum

Autumn is the absolute perfect time to visit. The outdoor options are unmatched, with gorgeous fall colors framing every trail.

From seasonal fall activities to pet-friendly spaces, the variety of experiences keeps everyone entertained and ready for the next activity.

Some of our favorite outdoor spaces to explore are:

Dunbar Cave State Park

The Riverwalk & McGregor Park

Rotary Park & Wade Bourne Nature Center

Clarksville Downtown Market

Artville Fest at Downtown Commons

Historic Collinsville

Clarksville Greenway

The incredibly diverse food scene has amazing, flavorful options that make it easy for everyone to find something delicious to eat and drink, including plant-based and gluten-free options, too!

Some eateries and restaurants we enjoyed while in Clarksville:

Kohana Sushi & Ramen

Insomnia Cookies

Everbowl

Silke’s Old World Breads

Hummus Republic

Camino Real Mexican Express - Newly opened

Harvest Kitchen & Spirits-Doubletree

Close to home, affordable, and unforgettable. Pack your bags—your next favorite weekend getaway is waiting for you in Clarksville!
