Smothered Pork Chops featuring Kroger
Thanks to Kroger for partnering with me on the recipe!
Summer is here and it is time to fire up the grill. Here is a fun recipe to kick off summer right! These Smothered Pork Chops featuring Kroger's Fresh Natural Pork Loin Chops. You find these at your local Kroger Family of Stores in your area.
Growing up the aroma of grilled pork being grilled on a summer day was a weekly tradition. It was super fun to do my take on this classic grilled food. Shopping Kroger's Natural Pork Loin Chops you get unbelievable flavor and amazing value. You can feed your entire family without breaking the bank.

Let's make these Smothered Pork Chops! See your grocery list below:
Pack of Kroger Fresh Natural Pork Lion Chops
6 slices of thick cut or regular bacon, chopped and cooked
Toppings:
1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 cups of low-sodium chick broth
1 cup of whole milk or cream
Salt, pepper and smoked paprika
1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

First step is to preheat your propane or charcoal grill! We are looking for a medium to high heat.
Salt and Pepper both sides of your pork chops. We are going to cook on the grill, turning occasionally until the center reaches the 145 degree temp.
While Pork Chops are cooking we are going to cook the chopped bacon unit crispy.

To make our smothered sauce we are going to cook down 3 cloves of garlic and 1 medium yellow onion in our deep skillet. Once the onions are soft we are going to add the 2 cups of low-sodium chick broth and 1 cup of whole milk or cream and bring to a boil.
While bringing up to a boil add seasonings:
Salt, pepper and smoked paprika
Once it boils, add 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour and bring to a low heat.
Stir until it thickens, add more flour if needed
Top your pork chops with gravy and fresh parsley.

Have a great day!
