Winter day inside with Scotties®

A special thank you to Scotties® Facial Tissue for sponsoring this blog post. All thoughts, reviews and opinions are my own. #ad

We have found ourselves in the middle of winter here in Kentucky. The effects of the gloomy, cold, and snowy days can easily bring on the sniffles and our kiddos being forced inside for long periods of time. Which we all know can lead to boredom! This is when being creative and keeping a few winter staples on hand, like Scotties® Facial Tissue, can help bring comfort home.

We love having craft time with our kids. This is a great way to bring the fun indoors. It keeps everyone busy and cozy inside away from the cold weather. Charlie & Meredith love to draw, paint and create with their hands. I keep a box of Scotties Facial Tissue on our craft table, in case the winter sniffles strike or quick clean up for little fingers is needed.

One of our favorite crafts is salt dough clay. It’s super fast and easy to whip up and can be used for anything from handprint keepsakes to molding shapes. Plus there is a great chance that you will have all of the ingredients already in your cabinet.

 Follow this simple recipe here:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup salt
  • ⅓ cup water
  • Bowl
  • Parchment paper

Directions: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl to form a ball. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Consistency shouldn’t be sticky. Add a little flour if it is. Shape and play as desired.

Not only do I like keeping Scotties Facial Tissue near us for craft time but we love having a box in every room. Scotties has a wide selection of designs for every home. They offer high-quality facial tissues at a great value.

I love that their tissues are gentle on your skin and hypoallergenic. Their boxes come in a variety of designs that can easily fit in any room of your home, providing balance of comfort and style.
